My First Shadow Box

Morning Everyone! Hope your enjoying this Tuesday morning. It looks like this is our last warm (-6C) day for awhile as we are headed into the deep freeze for the next few days. I wanted to share a project with you that I just finished. I made my very first Shadow box or Printers Tray, not sure what they are called. I've always wanted to try one, but you know me, I don't alter a lot of items, but I think I'm liking this!! I had a these little "doo dads" hanging around the studio in a little basket and they just had to find a home, right?? This was fun. I got out the Tim Holtz paper pack and framed all the boxes. Took so much time to plan, and then like my art journaling, you can't see the paper anyways, lol. My greatest find was my sister and I had bought "sand" years ago...not sure why, but it did come in handy when I was filling those little bottles up!! See..never throw anything scrappy away, your going to use it one day. My goal is to fill my studio with mini albums and altered items. I'm sure my clean freak boys will love it!! When I showed them this project they both actually thought it was "pretty cool". Wasn't sure what Mom was going to do with it, but at least they thought it was "cool". Should have told them it was for their media room, lol. I'm off to find something else to alter, lol, so hope your all having a wonderful day!!! Here are some close ups of my "doo dads".

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments and I appreciate your scrappy support! Have a wonderfully happy scrappy day! Lynn
