In the 15^th book in the series, FBI agent Lucy Kincaid is called in to assist on a case with the local police department’s detective Jerry Walker. Three murders have taken place which looks like there is a serial killer on the loose in San Antonio. Lucy and Jerry work endless hours following leads which keep leading to dead ends. Just when they think they have found the killer….the story takes yet another twist.

A second story involving Lucy’s husband Sean , his son Jesse, and Sean’s brother Kane is also taking place. A young boy who is a friend of Jesse’s gets caught up in a gang to be able to see his older brother who was released from prison. They all have to learn to trust each other to be able to save this young boys life.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have read a few of the previous books so I was familiar with the characters, yet was not caught up with the story. Allison Brennan has a way of catching you up and yet writing this as a stand-alone book by giving you enough background information on the characters. This book has it all, mystery, intrigue and family relationships. I’m excited to now go back and read the books I’ve missed. Getting Hot With The Scot - Book Review

This story has it all, friendship, humor, heartbreak and romance all wrapped beautifully in this first book of a new series by Melonie Johnson. The characters are very well written, you get a glimpse into each of the supporting characters, just enough to make you want to know how their stories end as well. I personally can’t wait for the next book in the series, both to continue the adventures of the ladies, but also to catch up with Cassie and Logan.

Can Santa be your penpal?

Angela is the sweetheart of Pleasant Sands, North Carolina. She has a sweet little shop call Heart of Christmas that has been in her family for generations. The shop is in a historical lighthouse that her family owns. Angela prides herself on the history and connection to the small town. The store isn’t doing that well and it may be time for some decisions to be made. A part of her problem is a new store in town called Christmas Galore has discounted items and cheaper products for sale and the town seems to love it. While visiting her sister, her young niece encourages Angela to write a letter to Santa, because Santa can fix everything!

Geoff Paisley is the co-owner of Christmas Galore with his mother. When his mom ends up in the hospital, she asks Geoff to answer all the Santa mail for her. He balks at first at the idea, but a promise is a promise, so he gets to work. He sees a letter from someone and it tweaks his interest. This letter deserves a personal reply! Guess who wrote the letter?

Geoff and Angela meet and go head to head in a few battles. Angela blames Geoff for opening a store that will put her out of business. Geoff thinks her store is overpriced. Little do either of them know that they are the two who are writing the letters going back and forth.

As the story unfolds, Geoff and Angela come to a truce and decide they can be friends. Can the friendship grow into a relationship? Will Angela still have to close Heart of Christmas? I don’t want to ruin the ending, so you will have to find out when you read the book. You won’t be disappointed;

Second Chance At Two Love Lane by Kieran Kramer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story by Kieran Kramer is a beautiful continuation of love, friendship and family. In previous books we met Macy, Greer, Miss Thing and Ella. This story focuses on Ella who is a match maker at Two Love Lane, but also a community actress who once missed her chance at the big screen. She chose love instead of her career for a boy named Hank. The same boy that turns around and breaks her heart when he chooses his career over Ella. Fast forward and Hank comes back into Ella’s life for a second time. Hank is still that boy from years ago, but he is now a big screen actor. He is doing everything in his power to convince Ella that he still loves her. He even goes so far as to get Ella her big break on screen with her favorite actress. Will Ella take a second chance at love?? Will the matchmakers step in to help? How will Ella’s family take the news that Hank has returned? This is the third book in the series, and I would recommend them all, but you could read this book as a stand-alone as well. Welcome to Eternity Springs! Meet Caitlin who is making a change and coming home to Eternity Springs from a corporate job in New York. Meet Josh who is a stranger to  Eternity  Springs but is fitting in quite well despite his secretive past. Caitlin and Josh first run into each other at a wedding and the sparks fly. What Caitlin doesn’t know when she first meets him, is that Josh lives in Eternity Springs. As the story continues Josh is trying hard not to fall for Caitlin, but Caitlin is very certain about her feelings for Josh. Will he give in to being pursued by this very persistent young lady? Can she help him face his past and put it behind him once and for all? Will the town of Eternity Spring see another happy ending?

Within a few pages of reading this book I knew that Emily March was quickly becoming a favourite author of mine. I love how she winds the lives of Caitlin and Josh together along with their families and friends. I also loved how she made Caitlin a strong willed female who was the pursuer in the relationship.  I also felt as I read on that their story was not the first romance to happen in Eternity Springs and found out I was reading the 14^th book in the series. The book was excellent as a standalone novel, but it didn’t take me long to go find book number one and order it. A beautiful story written by an amazing author.  I was so graciously gifted this book from St. Martin’s  Press  for my unbiased review.
