Psalm 1
Late one night I was on Youtube and found an amazing artist Lisa Albinus journaling through the Psalms. I found out she has a video a week on the Psalms and also shares her sketches each week so you can follow along. How amazing is that! I watched Psalm 4's video and was hooked! I am busy in my journals and creating things for the shop and doing my own process videos, so I thought a little side project where I could just create, relax and spend time in His word would be a beautiful journey. I haven't played with my watercolor in awhile, so I was excited to get started.I bought the book "The Psalms, Poetry on Fire" to use for this journey. The book is 6" x 8", so it's perfect for art! They even have one that is Illustrated for you if you want! I also read my Swindoll Study Bible for a different version and more understanding. For some of the Psalms I am using Lisa's sketches and for some I am finding inspiration on Pinterest ( where I can lose hours searching, lol) or Google . My goal is to journal all 150 Psalms and have art on every page even if it's a little flower or a small drawing. Today I thought I would share the first pages I did.
