The First Kiss of Spring Book Review
Welcome to
Eternity Springs! Meet Caitlin who is making a change and coming home to
Eternity Springs from a corporate job in New York. Meet Josh who is a stranger
to Eternity Springs but is fitting in quite well despite
his secretive past. Caitlin and Josh first run into each other at a wedding and
the sparks fly. What Caitlin doesn’t know when she first meets him, is that
Josh lives in Eternity Springs. As the story continues Josh is trying hard not
to fall for Caitlin, but Caitlin is very certain about her feelings for Josh.
Will he give in to being pursued by this very persistent young lady? Can she
help him face his past and put it behind him once and for all? Will the town of
Eternity Spring see another happy ending?
Within a few
pages of reading this book I knew that Emily March was quickly becoming a favourite
author of mine. I love how she winds the lives of Caitlin and Josh together
along with their families and friends. I also loved how she made Caitlin a
strong willed female who was the pursuer in the relationship. I also felt as I read on that their story was
not the first romance to happen in Eternity Springs and found out I was reading
the 14th book in the series. The book was excellent as a standalone
novel, but it didn’t take me long to go find book number one and order it. A
beautiful story written by an amazing author. I was so graciously gifted this book from St.
Martin’s Press for my unbiased review.

My 2018 Lent Journey Day 1 - 7
Good Morning! I just wanted to pop in today to share my Lent project for 2018. I have had the book "40 Days with the Holy Spirit" on my desk for a few months now waiting for Lent to begin. It's not a Lent devotional, but it is a 40 day journey, and I've always wanted deepen my relationship with the Holy Spirit. In our Facebook group "Praise & Pray Bible Journaling" there are a few different books and plans our group is doing, so it's very enlightening to read all the journaling and see how everyone is documenting their Lent journey. I am also reading "Grace and Hope" which is a Lent devotional. Both books are bringing me such clarity and are preparing me for the Easter season so well.
On the art side of things, I made up a little "dori" with an insert from a Travelers Notebook and some scrapbook paper. I created a few sticker bundles for Lent to help us pretty up our pages. You can find those in our Etsy shop. I've included my pages for the first week of Lent. I love playing and mixing in embellies from several collections. Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings for a beautiful day.

Midwife in Behruz - Book Review
Meet Layla…a
girl who lived in Behruz as a child, but now resides in the United States as a
midwife. Layla is also engaged to Dan, a childhood love. Laya travels to Behruz
to attend the wedding of her Uncle who also happens to be the Sultan. Layla
believes she will attend the wedding and carry on back to the States to plan
her wedding. She get involved with the Sultan and his new bride as they begin
to plan their family. Now this is where the story takes an interesting twist.
Meet Majid.
He is a doctor that was born and raised in Behruz. He has customs and protocol
for working and living in his country. His family is traditional and hasn’t had
the best experiences with Americans. But one day, his clinic door opens and
there stands Layla in one of her funny midwife tshirts.
The story
twists and turns from there. Layla has an admiration and an attraction to
Majid. Majid sees Layla as an experienced midwife and a beautiful woman who has
come into his life in a whirlwind. Their relationship grows and we wonder what
will happen to Layla and Majid.
Judy Meadows
beautifully draws the reader not only into the lives of Layla and Majid, but
also the lives of their families, past and present. We learn about a different
way of life, customs and traditions of the middle eastern culture. The story
blends two lives into one beautiful romance.
This is the
first book I have read by Judy, and it will definitely not be my last. I was
drawn into the story right from the first paragraph. I can’t wait to read
another one of her books. I was so graciously gifted a copy of this book by
Judy Meadows for a honest review. Now I’m off to find another book by this
amazing author.
Thanks so much for popping by! Have a blessed day

Praise Binder Weekly Wrap Up
Morning Everyone! Happy Friday! Today I'm catching up with my Praise Binder posting. This is weeks 5 and 6. We are moving from Genesis into Exodus. The lessons I am learning. What a fabulous journey Moses has. It amazes me the ministry that God gives him that he carries out for the Israelites. I say it every week, but this is like reading the stories in the Bible for the first time. Reading just a few passages a day and really focusing, learning, reflecting and journaling each day has given me a new understanding. I love this journey. On the art side of things, both weeks were done using Bible Page Kits from the shop. Week 5 was "My Light" and Week 6 was "My Shepherd". These are really fun to use on my daily sheets. You can find both in the shop!.

High Treason Book Review
Click here to get your copy
DiAnn Mills has another hit on her hands with her third fast
paced novel in the FBI Task Force series.
It’s
the story of Kord and Monica who are both protecting a visiting Saudi
Prince. Kord who is FBI, is a long time friend of the Prince, and Monica is an
expert from the CIA. They are brought together under a tense situation, so they
not only need to protect the prince, but they need to work together to do it.
Tension rises, family ties are questioned, and in amongst all of that….is there
a spark between Kord & Monica? Add in two different cultures and religions
into the mix and the story starts to unfold.
What I loved about this book is how DiAnn Mills took two
totally different cultures and religions and brought them together to show the reader how the two worlds can
combine with respect and honor. I loved the pace of the book which left you
guessing at every turn what would happen next. Just as you thought you had it
all figured out, a new twist would arise. A brilliantly written novel that has all the
keys…love, mystery and The Lord. I was
so graciously gifted this book from Tyndale House for an open and honest
review, Thank you Tyndale.

Journaling Through the Proverbs - Proverbs 5
Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! I am really enjoying the journey of reading and reflecting but honestly the art...that can be frustrating somedays, like what happened on these pages. I have found that even dry, some of my colors can rub onto the page next to it. I'm not sure if it's that I'm using a heat tool on the pages next to them or what but I was determined to find a solution. I had some fixative, and tried it on a sample page but oh gosh it was stinky and I don't like harsh chemicals..so scrap that! Then I found a Youtube video suggesting a wax...now that seemed ok, so I ordered some. It coated the pages perfectly and I was excited! Until........... I opened up my book the other day to do this post. The well page had the pink and green from the glasses all over it.. now try to get that off the wax! Oh yeah..an eraser worked, but made a big gummy mess. So to cut the story down a little, I think I found a solution! Clear gesso! I did a test and it didn't reactivate the watercolors, so I'm giving that a go! Will keep you updated! Whew......that was long, but... we must keep it real and share our good art experiences along with the bad right? If you made it all the way here...thank you for listening! Blessings for a beautiful week.
