Say Cheese

Today is a quiet day at my house. Jax just had his surgery so he is napping and of course if one naps, so does the other one. Great time to look for a challenge don't you think? I stopped by Sketches With A Twist and the sketch looked like alot of fun. The twist..doodling! I don't think I have ever doodled on a layout, so this was a good challenge for me. I got out some ink and some pens and away I went. It was a fun morning! Now I'm off to play with the pups and maybe, just maybe clean the house ( 50-50 chance on that one), lol. Mr & Mrs Disney

This is Mr & Mrs. Disney! When we were in Disneyland the kids were having so much fun trying on hats at the different stores. When we found a Minny Bride and Mickey Groom we knew we had to have them for the wedding. This layout is for a call at Practical Scrappers for quilt inspired layouts. Make sure you stop by and join in the fun! I got my inspiration for this from the amazing sketch by Janice at Sketches With A Twist where you have to do the sketch and the twist is "green".

A Home is Built with Love and Dreams

We have a cabin which is a few hours from our home in the city. For the last 28 years this has been our home away from home. There are so many memories here. It's where our children grew up playing on the beach, going for quad rides, fishing, skidooing, swinging on the swings and sitting by the fire. This is my refuge. There is nothing more memorable than waking up early in the morning and going out to sit on the deck and watching the birds on the lake.  This layout is for a sketch at Sketches With A Twist. It's my first time visiting and I'm so excited I found this site. My hidden journaling reads:

My Home Away From Home

My dad built this cabin for his family but

passed away before he could enjoy it himself.

He left his legacy in these walls and beams.

The trees that he plants and the memories he left behind will be 

cherished forever. 

This is the home my Dad built.
