Bo Bunny & Misc. Me - June

Good Morning! Can you believe it's almost the end of July? Summer is flying by. Today it's Misc. Me day at Bo Bunny, so that means I get to share the pages that I have been working on. Each month I choose a different collection to work with, and this month I chose the Trail Mix line. It was just the right mix for all the photos I had of our trips out to the cabin. It's my favorite place to be. The month was full of memories for me and I love being able to document them in the Misc. Me binder. So here is the rest of the pages! Hope your all having an awesome day!!!

Happy Birthday Hike - Bo Bunny

Well hello there Scrappy Friends! I hope your enjoying your summer as much as I am. As this post goes live I'm out at the cabin enjoying a week of R&R. Playing with the pups and enjoying the sun! Today at Bo Bunny our design assignment was "Pockets & Tags". When I saw this I immediately thought of my husband's birthday. He loves being out at the lake and he is always whining how I have these "cool" bookmarks and he doesn't. Well now he has 3!!! I used the card for the pocket and made 3 simple tags for him to use in his books. He doesn't like all the frills and flowers, so I thought the Trail Mix collection was the perfect choice!! All the pieces came from the Noteworthy package. I love all the fun shapes.  Hope he enjoys them. He will be the big 50 this year! ( But I didn't tell you that, lol)
Here are a few close ups of the tags inside.

Family Mini Album - Quick Quotes

Morning Everyone! I made this little Mini Album for a design team project for Quick Quotes. When I saw this Lattice Booklet Chipboard Album from Want2Scrap, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. My mom has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, so the seven page album was just the perfect fit for my photos.

For the cover I took my Crackle Paint and painted the front. I then chalked the Family Chipboard Word  with the Very Berry PowderPuff Chalking Ink and added a few flowers and embellishments from my stash. I chose the Dusty Road collection for my album. I love the soft subtle colours and patterns.

For all the chipboard pages, I chalked the edges with Very Berry and Tahiti PowderPuff Chalking Inks. I thought it added just a touch of colour to the pages. I found so many beautiful words and quotes in the Dusty Road Die Cut Stickers and the Dusty Road Chipboard Die Cuts to complete my pages.  Along with the fabulous bling from Want2Scrap, this album came together quite quickly. My mom loved the album and was so excited that each grandchild had their own page! Here are the rest of the pages!

Thanks so much for letting me share my mini with you today. Hope your all having a Scrap Fabulous Day!

Altered Boxes - Just having some fun!

Morning Everyone! Happy Friday! I decided to have some fun and alter some boxes for Nicole, Ashley and myself. First things first.. the mod podge and some cheesecloth!
 Now a layer of Gesso
Now this was the fun part! I took out my suitcase full of nick nacks and goodies and began to glue
things down. The fun part is, nothing has to match because it's all going to get a layer
of Gesso. I showed Hubby and he says "They look good like this, why would you want to paint them white? I don't get it". Ryan comes home and says the same thing!! These boys just don't understand creativity! lol

The first layer of Gesso goes on. Now this is going to take a few times to cover all that color!
 Voila!! The finished products!!
This one is Ashleys. She is an artist, so her's has a little paint brush on it.
This is Nicole's. She loves music, so her's is filled with music notes and other goodies.
And mine. Full of all kinds of fun stuff!
This is what the front of the boxes look liked when they were done.
I painted the sides brown and glazed them with some copper.
Then I glued a little something on the front just for that little extra somethin somethin, lol.

Hope you enjoyed this little tutorial. It was certainly a fun project.
I got to use all those little leftover bits and pieces!
But.. the suitcase is still full, lol.. maybe another box for someone?
I did ok gluing and gessoing everything white, BUT
when it came time to spray I panicked, lol. I did love
how they turned out though. I hope the girls love them
as much as I do!
Have a wonderful day everyone and enjoy your weekend!
I'm off to the lake for a week, so see you all next Friday!

You Make My Heart Smile

Good Morning!! I'm so happy it's finally summer here! Today at Let's Get Sketchy we have another amazing sketch for you! This one is done by our very own Ashley Horton! It was so fun to work with. Since it's summer, I'm always reminded of Nicole's wedding, so I chose a photo of her and I for this layout. Her wedding was a day I will always remember. I not only got to be the Mother of the Bride but I was so honored when she also asked me to be her Matron of Honor. I was so proud to stand by her side when she married Christopher. I had some fun with my Cameo for this layout too. I did the cutting on the patterned paper, then took the negative pieces and glued them back on with the other patterned side of the paper. I wasn't sure how it would turn out.. but I was really happy with the results!! Hope you all having an amazing day and hope you can stop by and play along with us!

This is Where the Story Begins - Bo Bunny

Morning Scrappy Friends!! How's your day going? Today at Bo Bunny we have a hot topic for you! We are sharing our "Guilty Pleasures"!! Now I'm pretty boring so my biggest guilty pleasure would be books. I LOVE to read! I read in the car while I'm waiting for hubby at the train, I read while I cook, I read while I eat lunch. I always have a book on the go. For this layout I got out the new Trail Mix collection. Since I do most of my reading out at the lake, I thought the earthy papers and elements would fit my theme to a tee! I always love looking through the stickers and chipboard that go with a collection. I can always find just the right one! The title and those little glasses where cut from my Cameo, I really need to play with that more. Hope your all having a scrap fabulous day!!!!
