Daisy Doodle I Love You

Morning Scrappy Friends!! I thought I would take a little break from design work and just have some fun with my cameo. I found this fun sketch at Creative Scrappers and just couldn't resist. I knew right away I wanted to play with the Happy Tails collection from BoBunny and scrap a photo of my sweet Daisy. I couldn't find the right cut file, so I decided to make my own. I thought I would also share them with you in case you have a furry friend you wanted to scrap! The link is below. I laugh because Daisy is such a sweet girl and this photo is of the ONE AND ONLY thing she has ever done that was bad. She took a flower from the studio and went high tailing it into the living room! But she looked so cute I couldn't resist taking a photo first and ten took the flower away from her, lol. Hope your all having a wonderful day!

Count Your Blessings

Good Morning Scrappy Friends. I had some time to play yesterday and I couldn't resist the sketch from Creative Scrappers and my stash of Autumn Song from BoBunny. As you know we had a ton of photos from our Thanksgiving weekend at the lake and I loved this photo of Nicole taken down by the old dock on the beach. If you would see that old dock you would think it was an eye sore, but Nicole saw the beauty in the rustic look of it. I'm so glad she did. It was fun to just play around and have some fun in my studio, I need to do that more often. So until next time.....

How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You - Creative Scrappers

I was so honored to be a Guest Designer today at Creative Scrappers. I got to work with a sketch by the extremely talented Amarilys Doria . If you know me, you know I love doilies and layers, so I was so excited to get to play with this sketch. My little Daisy was at the lake with us for four days, and boy did we have fun. I just love this little girl, and I'm blessed she loves me back triple fold.

Minnie??

This layout is focused on my darling son Ryan! While we were vacationing in Disneyland he would constantly grab Nicole's Minnie Mouse ears and wear them. He thought he looked "so cool" with his pink shirt and sunglasses wearing the ears, lol. This is a hard bunch of pics to scrap! I searched for paper and finally found this little pad of paper from who knows when and thought "why not". I tried to keep it simple, no flowers or flourishes, lol. So after fighting with it all afternoon, I'm done, lol.  I did have fun smiling at the photos! Gotta love my kids. Maybe the next layout will be of my boys with their matching yoda backpacks...yes they really are in their twenties, lol. I used the sketch below from Creative Scrappers for some inspiration! Love their sketches!

Supplies: Unidentified paper, lol

Promise

Today was a really sad day at our house. Our dog of sixteen years, Tessa is not doing well. At the Extended Care facility where I work we term it "End of Life". We are keeping her comfortable and staying by her side. While I was keeping her company today I found a few challenge sites and decided to do what I do when I'm happy, upset, sad, mad or glad. I scrapbook. It's my therapy. So to keep my mind occupied, I'm combing four challenges today. The title came from the Bird is the Word challenge blog where the word to use was "PROMISE" This is my husband and I and our promise to each other:

Count Your Blessings
Bear Each Others Burdens
Forgive and Forget
Be Kind & Tender Hearted
Comfort One Another
Keep Your Promises
Be Proud of Each Other
Be True to Each Other
Look After Each Other
Love

The beautiful sketch is from Creative Scrappers

The color inspiration came from Color Combos Galore
I thought the little hats looked like flowers and I loved the color combination. Also saw the doily under the hat and decided to use one too!

And my fun came from The Paper Variety  where the challenge was to make fan fold embellishments! I'm new to that technique, so it took a bit of work, lol. I also tried stitching on my layout for the first time. Do you believe I had a mini sewing machine downstairs where my craft stuff is buried? Oh...I'm loving it!!

Supplies: Bo Bunny Et Cetera Watermark & Geography, Bo Bunny Love Shack Groovin  & Et Cetera Symphony for the flowers, Prima Flowers, Wilton Doilies, Tattered Angels  Wheat Beer Glimmer Mist, My new/old mini sewing machine for stitching.

Beautiful

Today I started an 8x8 mini album for my daughter of her wedding photos. Now...looking through challenges I see the The Paper Variety has a challenge for black and white with a kiss of color. YEAH! I'm doing Nicole's album all in black and white. Then I hunt for a sketch...go right to Creative Scrappers and find another amazing sketch ( I love the sketches there). Now I need a theme. At Scrapping The Music the challenge is the song "Who Says". The lyrics are so relevant to my daughter. So a perfect combination wouldn't you say? I felt like I was almost doing a mini layout with mini things, lol. How fun! With more challenges like these I will have the album done in no time. I'm using another Creative Scrappers sketch but it's for a design team assignment which you will see soon. My goal is to have her album done for her birthday at the end of February! Better get moving, lol

Supplies: Bo Bunny Enchanted Romance, Evening, Harlequin papers. Wilton Doilies, Recollections Floral Embellishments, Bridal Bling Butterflies, Tattered Angels Mist Blitzen, Perfect Pearls Mist Grape fizz, Prima Say it in Crystals.

Snuggle Season

My sister and I were out having a coffee and our daily scrap talk when she told me about the sketch at Creative Scrappers and told me I should enter. Then the conversation got on to how we stash our favourite papers and embellishments. I was holding onto this Bo Bunny, you know saving it for that "special" layout. My other issue was how everyone was in red and the new Bo Bunny line was in blues and browns. After a few more sips of coffee, the light bulb went on and I excitedly said "Sis...I could print my Christmas photos in sepia"... genius right? lol . Then I remembered that I was also on Scrap Our Stash where they are having a "New" challenge. Well...new paper, newly married couple...how am I doing so far? Well...coffee ended and it's 1:00 a.m. and I think it's time for bed! But wait Frosted Designs is also having a challenge that I'm off to enter. Ok...I'm really off to bed this time. Goodnight and sweet dreams!

Supplies: Bo Bunny Snowfall Cabin, Wintertime, Words, Blizzard, Bo Bunny layered chipboard, snowfall cutouts, noteworthy die cuts, Bo Bunny cardstock stickers, delta ink, doilies

Always & Forever

Whenever I see a new sketch challenge or any challenge I just love using Nicole and Chris' engagement photos. Andrea at Pink Sugar Photography is keeping me busy with the amazing work she does. How could I not scrap every one of them? And if you remember...there is 91!  So bring on the challenges! And...they seem to go with every paper line! I'm in heaven, lol. This is based on sketch #133 at creative scrappers, so thanks so much to Suzanne for the amazing sketch! Have a wonderful sunny day!

Scrap Create Play Inspire

This is another one of my double header layouts, lol. The sketch comes from a challenge at Creative Scrappers and the idea from Bobunny. The Bobunny challenge was to create a layout about something that you love about yourself or your favourite thing about yourself. Well...what do I luv about myself?? My ability to create, play, inspire and scrap! I love to create. I like to decorate, I like colours, so everything I love to do I bring to scrapbooking. I even like to sing, which again I can do while I scrap. The list goes on and on. I really do love Bobunny for challenging me to do layouts about myself and the things I love, since I so rarely scrap myself. So...these are photos of my scrap room and the place I love to scrap, create and play!

Zoo Day Fun

So this is what I call a "double header" lol. I found the idea for the layout on scrapbookers-anonymous. It was to use holiday paper for a non-holiday layout! I thought that my halloween paper would be great to use for a photo of a tiger we saw at the zoo. Now I had to come up with a layout idea! I went to creative scrappers and used sketch #129. This was almost too much fun! It's wild...but it was fun!

Bow Falls

When I saw this sketch at Creative scrappers I knew I just had to do another fall layout. I have SO much of the origins line I think I have used it for at least 10 layouts already. But you know...I never tire of using it. Maybe because fall layouts are my favourite? lol. For those of you that know me...Fall is my favourite season. I love the colours, the weather, just the beauty of the season. This photo is of our anniversary trip to Banff. Every time we are there, I always have to go to the Bow Falls and take pictures. We met a really nice couple from England who offered to take our picture by the falls...now could I resist that? Thanks so much my scrappy friends for stopping by!

My Guy

Now this is what I call a "double header". I found this sketch on creative scrappers which was created by the oh so talented Aphra Bolyer. Then I found an idea on scrap it with a song which asked you to use the song "My Guy". I thought....what a perfect opportunity to combine both ideas! So...this is my guy, and the song fits so perfectly. So thanks to both sites for keeping my creativity going!

Maybe Someday

We were walking down the Bow Trail on our weekend getaway when we came to a tunnel under the bridge. I thought the brick wall would make for some great photos. I wanted the layout to be simple and focus on the photo more than the elements. This was for a sketch at Creative Scrappers. I love doing their sketches, they are so easy to work with. This was a really reflective layout for me, and in some ways it was therapeutic. I can now see why people scrapbook the good and the tough times in life...as my sister told me....it's the journey. So I thank her for helping me on my journey...I love ya Sista! My journaling reads: It's been a tough journey these last six months of my life. I have learnt that I am a stronger woman than I thought I was. I'm yet to begin to understand why things happen the way they do, but I have to go on. One day I may look back and understand...but not today.

Creative Scrappers Sketch #122

This is my take on the sketch by the very talented Carla Tarabus at Creative Scrappers. This was so fun to do! When we go to the zoo, the first thing I want to see are the monkeys. We grabbed some ice cream and I sat down to watch their antics. They are almost human in the things they do. It was such a great day and I loved seeing my monkeys!

Creativescrappers #120

This is my son Ryan who just graduated from highschool. He is my baby, so it was a tearful day watching him receive his diploma. He grew up so fast and now he is on his way. I'm so blessed to have him as my son, he is just a joy to be around. He is such a positive, funny and caring young man. Ryan....I love you and am so proud of what you have accomplished. I can't wait to see what your future holds. Thanks to Creativescrappers for the wonderful sketch, and thank you Aphra Bolyer for the amazing design.
