Disney - Boys Rule

Good Morning Scrappy Friends!! Today I'm sharing my project at Boys Rule. The July/Aug kit has so many fun things in it, it was hard to chose what to play with, lol.. I did this layout of Ryan and Chris from their trip to Disneyland. Those boys took such funny photos! I was thinking of a design when I saw Laura's sketch and I decided that it was just perfect for what I had in mind. Every month we have a sketch challenge on the blog, so I hope you can stop by and join us! It's so fun to see friends playing along.

Summer Is Time For - Scrapstuffz

Morning!!! Today I'm sharing a layout at Scrapstuffz. When I saw the inspiration photo I had a thought of what I wanted to do. It was either going to be a great idea or a total flop.. you don't know until you try right? First I thought of printing the words around my page, then I thought I would make journaling strips. Then a thought came to me to turn the photo into black and white and print it onto my background paper. I hit print and crossed my fingers, lol. I thought color and fun, and it turned out grungy, but it was still fun to do! I know Nicole is going to love that I scrapped this photo..I can hear the phone ringing already.. "MOM.. why that photo?".. just because Nicole..just because, lol.

Lovers Lane - Let's Get Sketchy

Howdy Everyone and Happy Monday! I know Monday might mean back to work, but it also might mean the kids are back in school! It might mean housework or paying bills, but maybe it means there is a new sketch up at Let's Get Sketchy! Our fearless designers are at it again!! My favourite part of Monday is seeing what all the gals did with the sketch! This is Nicole and Chris. Another one of those photos from the endless "Mom printed these and hasn't used them yet" photo box. Some are doubles, some I've scrapped before, but I think it's fun sometimes to take the same photo and see what you create this time with it. I had fun with this one. Lots of layers and the new collection from BoBunny called Head Over Heels. I have a mini using this collection coming up this Thursday in a very special blog post! Hope to see you playing along with us at LGS! Have an awesome day everyone.

I Still Fall For You Everyday

Morning!! Today at BoBunny we are sharing some Love layouts. I had this photo of Nicole and Chris in my "too scrap" box, so I couldn't resist. Since I always use a patterned but muted background, I thought I would leap out of my comfort box and try what I consider a wild background. I had so much fun with this one. I love pouring out the package of noteworthy pieces and choosing which ones to use. I also took the tiny stickers and chipboard hearts and added them to the blank tiles. The other thing I love....the 6x6 paper pads. They are the perfect size for backing photos and creating layers. It came together quite quickly and most of all I had fun doing it.  I hope you have a minute to pop by the blog and see what the other designers created!! Have an awesome day everyone!

Morning Everyone!! Today I'm sharing another project I designed for Boys Rule with the kit for this month. I loved working with the papers from The Lucky 7 Factory. I was so surprised to find out they are a Canadian company. The colors of the papers flow so well together. I added a card from the Simple Stories collection and one of the elements from the Photo Frames package. I couldn't resist doing a little stamping and using a few of the Tim Holtz rub ons. They just tuck in the best places! And I can't forget that the photo is of my handsome Son In Law Chris!! Hope your all having a Scrap Fabulous day!!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Directions, Instant Moments, Fresh Mint/ The Lucky 7 Factory Zenitude collection

So Happy Together - BoBunny

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Tuesday! Today at BoBunny we are sharing some family layouts. On our Thanksgiving long weekend ( which here in Canada was in October) we headed out to the cabin with Nicole, Chris and little jiggy! We had such a fabulous weekend. The kids took 513 photos, lol.. now Mama will be scrappin!! For this layout I couldn't wait to use the new Autumn Song collection. Fall is my favorite season, and the colors are so rich and warm. I took the border from one patterned paper and fussy cut it. Then I started my layering and inking! You all know how much I love to do that, lol. With a few blossoms and bling, my layout was done. Now I'm off to BoBunny to see what our other designers created... care to join me?
Just a peek at my hidden journaling!

Memories Mini Album

Happy Hump Day!!! How's everyone's week going? Remember my story from Monday about the three same Prima collections I bought? Well.. I decided a mini was a great way to use up a ton of paper. I started the album not knowing what I was going to do with it. Then the light bulb came on and I thought " It's Nicole & Chris's 2nd Anniversary this week, so maybe a mini is in order for a gift?". I had to hurry because I had one day to make it! They came home from holidays on Monday and I wanted to give it to them before they went home.  I searched for photos of them together. The earliest photo I found was from 2005. Yes they have been together for a long time. I believe Grade 8! So we have grad photos, engagement photos, and a few from holidays. It was a really fun little mini to do. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!

The 938

Hi Blogger Friends!!! Last night we had such great news! Our son-in-law Chris is studying Architecture and he did a final project for the year, which he worked so hard on.. poor guy was so stressed. Last night he found out that his project won FIRST place by unanimous decision from the Canadian Home Builders Association. They said they have never had a unanimous decision and  they were surprised that Chirs is only in his first year. He walked away with a nice scholarship and he even got a few job offers last night! I'm so proud of him. He is following his dream and doing something he loves! When I saw this photo from last night I immediately thought of the Attitude collection from Kaisercraft  and off I went to the blog and there was a new sketch! Perfect combination!! Hope your all having a fabulous scrappy day!!!
