More Misc. Me - Bo Bunny

Morning Scrappy Friends! Today at Bo Bunny our designers are sharing their Misc. Me albums. When I thought of March I thought of winter, not spring so I pulled out the Powder Mountain collection to use for this month. We were living through snow storm after snow storm.. so I thought a winter theme would be appropriate! Here's what I've done for the month.

I really like my idea of printing off the calendar from my phone and writing up what each photo was about. The combo stickers have such great elements to finish off the pages.
Here I played abit with my Cameo and did a few frames for my photos! See all the snow??? And the photo in the right corner is me holding the flowers and Cinderella balloon the kids got me for my birthday!

Yes, that says -17C.. and then you see how we went up to -3C? Every few days it would get cold, snow then warm up again.. what a crazy winter! I think my favourite photo for the month was cuddling with the doodles!! I loved using Powder Mountain. There are so many different card cut outs that fit right into the Misc. Me album. It really comes together so quickly. With the stickers, chipboard and noteworthy pieces.. this was easy and quick to do! Add a few of the jewels..and viola!!  Are any of you using the Misc. Me album? If you are, leave me a link so I can stop by. I would love to see what your doing. And don't forget to share you projects on our Bo Bunny facebook page!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments and I appreciate your scrappy support! Have a wonderfully happy scrappy day! Lynn

Sweet Love

Morning!! How's your day? Today at Let's Get Sketchy we have a little different challenge because April has five Mondays.. and when that happens, we have a little fun! Today our challenge is two fold. The first thing we had to do is pick a color palette. Off to Pinterest I went!! The second part is to find a sketch we liked! Well.. my sweet friend Laurie  ( who is also on our design team) had a sketch challenge for her birthday, and it was so cute, I decided that's the one I wanted to use!! Along with some Bo Bunny this came together fairly quickly. I love when that happens! I can't wait to see what the other designers have done! Come on by with me and check them out!

I love using the Paper Pads for layouts and cards, but they are also perfect for tags. I cut the tags out of the sheets in the Paper Pads and then used the Quotes that also came in the Pads. I punched some little borders and added some twine and flowers to give them a country look. I finished them off with some  Mocha Mama PowderPuff Chalking Ink.  Have a wonderful day everyone!

Welcome to the Bo Bunny & ClearSnap Blog Hop!!!
You should have arrived here from Debbie's Blog
If you stumbled on our hop by accident there is a list at the bottom so
you can start at the beginning!!
The Hop will run until May 27th, Midnight EST.
Each of our designers and Bo Bunny are giving away a Bo Bunny prize pack,
so make sure you stop by each blog!
I will announce the winner here on my blog Monday!

What fun product we had to work with for this hop! ClearSnap sent us some fabulous glitter, embossing powders and sprays to work with! The new fun thing which I have never seen before was Glue Gloss.. just perfect for those little spots. I used the new Bo Bunny collection Key Lime for my project. The colours were gorgeous, so deep and rich. Just perfect for this photo of Nicole from her Mexico trip! It was hard to pick with patterned paper to work with, so I took the 6x6 paper pack and had some fun.

Here are a few close ups!
Here I used the embossing ink and white powder along with the new stamps from the Key Lime collection. I also used it for the white border strip and the title "Mexico".
The Glue Gloss worked wonders with the glitter! I also took the Banana Spray and colored some cheesecloth to tuck around the flowers. I did some paint splatters with the Strawberry, Artichoke and Banana sprays! The matched Key Lime just perfectly!

Here is the order of the Hop In Case you want to start at the beginning!

Altered Dress Form/ Card - Kaisercraft

Good Morning, Good Morning!! Hope your all having a Scrap Fabulous Day!! So if you saw my post about my studio, then you know I'm cleaning things up. Well.. my idea of cleaning is adding more goodies to my studio, lol. I've had some things on my shelf for a LONG time, and it's time to bring them out! I'm not sure when I bought this dress form, but I wanted something to match my desk caddy and had a ton of paper left over, so I decided to give it a whirl. I was pretty happy how it turned out. I was so proud and showed Hubs and our son.. They both looked at it and said "it doesn't have a head.. that's weird".. MEN! I told them they are very popular right now.. and they both still gave me that "look". But this coming from guys that just watch football and hockey, so what did we expect right?? My scrappy friends are going to get it, guaranteed. I'm really starting to like altering items for my studio. It's fun and I'm liking adding just that "one more thing to my shelf".. Now.. I need to find another project, lol.

I had some goodies left over, and Mother's Day is coming.. so I made her a card! I was so proud of myself that I made the word Mom on my Cameo.. I learnt how to use the "weld" function. Look out now!! lol. I'm such a Cameo newbie but again I'm having fun learning!

Remember When - Quick Quotes

Good Morning Everyone! I hope your all enjoying your day! Today at Quick Quotes I'm sharing a layout I did using the 6x6 Paper Pads! They are one of my favorite things to use!

For this layout I started off with Cracklin Rose 200 for the background, then I took two sheets from the Cracklin Rose Paper Pad and punched some holes and added eyelets to make it look like an open book. It was like doing two mini layouts! I used some different sheets to add layers and used my punch to make some borders. Along with a few quotes from the Paper Pad and some of my favorite PowderPuff Chalking Inks, this came together quite quickly. I added a few flowers from my stash and a few pieces of chipboard. I used a photo of my husband and I last fall at a family photo shoot. This collection is just so perfect for so many seasons!

Thanks for stopping by! I love reading your comments and I really appreciate all your scrappy support!

The 938

Hi Blogger Friends!!! Last night we had such great news! Our son-in-law Chris is studying Architecture and he did a final project for the year, which he worked so hard on.. poor guy was so stressed. Last night he found out that his project won FIRST place by unanimous decision from the Canadian Home Builders Association. They said they have never had a unanimous decision and  they were surprised that Chirs is only in his first year. He walked away with a nice scholarship and he even got a few job offers last night! I'm so proud of him. He is following his dream and doing something he loves! When I saw this photo from last night I immediately thought of the Attitude collection from Kaisercraft  and off I went to the blog and there was a new sketch! Perfect combination!! Hope your all having a fabulous scrappy day!!!

My New Craft Caddy

Morning Everyone!! How's your day?? I wanted to share a little project I have been working on the past couple of days. When I was at Urban Scrapbook the other day to visit the girls, I picked up this fun desk caddy. I had a stash of some Kaisercraft goodies and thought it would be fun to try and alter this. First Ryan helped me figure out how to put the whole thing together, lol. Then Clint lent me the Wood Glue ( he said I had to glue it). After mixing up some paint I got to work. Finally last night it was ready to decorate.. now the fun begins. After I finished I decided I had to clean off my desk. I could not believe that all my little containers of "stuff" fit into this caddy. Amazing!! It rotates on a lazy susan and has four drawers plus the top compartments and side slots! Now since I cleaned my room, I'm going to share some photos of that in the next few days!! Hope your all having an awesome day!!

Country Diva - Let's Get Sketchy

Happy Monday Scrappy Friends!!! Hope your weekend was relaxing! Today we have our new sketch by the amazing Jenessa up on the Let's Get Sketchy blog. I've wanted to play with the new Prairie Chic collection from Bo Bunny for awhile now and I thought this was a perfect sketch for it. I saw the circles and my mind went straight to Doilies!!! This photo is of Ashley last fall when we did a family photo shoot out in a field of bales. I could scrap these photos all day, I just love them! This one just came together so easily. I love this collection because of all the stickers and sayings. I love using them for titles because I'm so unoriginal at coming up with a good one myself, lol. Hope you all have a fantastic day and hope you can come join us over at Let's Get Sketchy!

Home On the Range - Bo Bunny

Morning Scrappy friends! How's everyone's day? It's Friday... yeahhh!! Today at Bo Bunny we have a Pinspiration challenge for our designers. When Romy chose this photo I new that I wanted to play along. Who doesn't love doilies?? And Bo Bunny has come out with three different sizes with 20 pieces in each package.. let me tell you they last a long time! I used the Prairie Chic collection for this, I just loved all the chipboard and sticker elements. It's so quick and easy to do a layout when all the goodies go together so perfectly! I chose to scrap a photo of our fire pit at the cabin. This is where we hang out on our summer weekends. Roasting hot dogs, making smores and sharing lots of laughs. There are so many memories, and it's such a special place. Have a wonderful day and enjoy your weekend!!

Puppy Love

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!! Yesterday I took a trip to my local scrap store, Urban Scrapbook. Ohh what a fun trip that was. I came home with lots of new goodies. I bought some Kaisercraft papers and couldn't wait to play. I came home and while searching for some inspiration I came across the  April Saturday Sketch #1 on the Kaisercraft Blog. Perfect!! So here is my take! Now I'm patiently waiting for the new collections to come in so I can play along with the next one! I have a stack of printed photos, and I thought this one of Ashley and Little Baby Jax was just the right photo to scrap. I also bought something fun to alter, but I'm saving that one for another day! Have an awesome Wednesday my friends! Ohh here are a few close ups! ( Almost forgot to add these, lol)

I just had to share this tag I made with my Cameo, I'm having so much fun playing with it!

Tiny Prints - Quick Quotes

Good Morning Scrappy Friends! Today at Quick Quotes I am sharing a project I did using the Stowaway 6x6 Paper Pad and some of the Kiwi Lane Templates. This is my last project with Kiwi Lane, but I'm going to be using those templates again I'm sure on a few projects! I decided to make a card for a girlfriend who just had a baby. I thought the Quote from the Family Bundle was just perfect for the card. I used the Kiwi Lane Templates and cut some chevron strips from the 6x6 paper pad. I chalked the edges of the flowers and card with some Tahiti and  Java PowderPuff Chalking Ink. Now to finish it off, I just couldn't resist playing with the new  Coconut White PowderPuff Chalking Ink, which I tell you is my new favorite ink! I know I said Mocha Mama was my favorite, but now it has some competition. Well.. ok.. I confess.. they are all my favorite!

ScrapThat Tutorial

I'm also sharing my ScrapThat layouts and close-ups in the post below!!

Morning Everyone! Today at ScrapThat  I'm sharing a tutorial with you on how I did the background on my layout using some Crafters Workshop Stencils, Modeling Paste, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and some Lindy's Stamp Gang Mists. Now this is the first ever photo/video tutorial I have done so bare with me, and I hope you like it!

This layout was done using the April Main Kit and the add-on kit. Once I was done spraying the background, I just had to add a little to the flowers!

ScrapThat - close ups

Good Morning Everyone!  I'm so excited to be a guest designer this month for ScrapThat. It's a Canadian Kit Club, and I have a few projects to share with you using the April Kit. When I saw the patterned papers from the Donna Salazar collection, I was in love. For this layout I used the main kit and the sketch by Amarilys Doria but flipped it on it's side. I loved having the burlap in the kit as well, it just added to the shabby feel of the layout of my daughter. I chose to do her photo in black and white to blend into the neutral colors. I added some doilies from my stash and did some faux stitching to finish my project.

Here are some close up's of the details.
I used the twine along with some glossy accents to wrap around the flowers.
I loved the Chipboard Alphas that came with the kit, and I just added a little ink to the edges.

For this layout I played with the main kit and the embellishment add on kit. I will be sharing a tutorial later this month on how I added some texture to the background. I just couldn't get enough of using the burlap, so I added it to this project as well.
Here you can see a sneak of the texture I added. I also used my sprays to add color to some white flowers from my stash.

For my last project I used the Prima Flower spray and just tucked it around my photo. I used some punches to play with the frame. The title I cute out of one the patterned papers from the main kit along with my Silhouette Cameo. I just had to add some more of the burlap to my project, can you tell how much I love it?
With the embellishment add on kit there was some chipboard from FabScraps. I used some stamps and ink along with the Maya Road Trinkets to jazz up the chipboard.
