Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

"Have a Holly Jolly Christmas"...la la la. This layout is of my family just a few days ago on Christmas Eve. We love to take goofy photos by the tree. If I can get them to take one serious one I'm lucky. Ryan had just opened his Colts hoodie and hat so there was no way he was trading that for a Santa hat. I found the sketch at Stuck on U Sketches and I'm also entering it over at Scrap It With A Song which has a Christmas Song Challenge. I'm having so much fun scrapping this week I don't want to go back to work, lol....So I hope everyone had a Holly Jolly Christmas and here's a cheer for a Scrappy Happy New Years!

I Love You in Any Language

Oh yes, another wedding layout, lol. I'm going to have an album done in no time thanks to Bo Bunny and all their challenges. When I found the sticker which says "I love you in any language" it was so fitting for this layout. Christopher's first language is Ukrainian, so when they got married Chris said his vows in his language and Nicole said hers in English. The whole mass was half in Ukrainian and half in English. Even though Nicole didn't understand much, she still knew that Christopher loved her. This layout was for the sketch challenge at Bo Bunny. Of course I have a huge stash of Enchanted and a huge pile of wedding photos, so this was an easy choice of what to use. Thank you Bo Bunny for helping get this wedding album done. I also entered this at  Scrap Our Stash which has a December challenge going on. ScrapFit also has a challenge which I entered about your favourite layout and this is definitely one of my fav's.Love it! Now I should start on the mini album for Nicole right? lol....you guessed it, all in the Enchanted line!

Supplies: Bo Bunny Enchanted Harlequin, Love, Evening, Romance and Rose papers, stamps, Memories Ink, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Blitzen and Blackberry Cordial, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Dusty Concord, Prima Resist Canvas, Bridal Bling Butterflies.

This is Me!

Last night while the house was quiet and everyone was gone, I thought hmmm the dishes could wait, I headed to my scrap room where I found a challenge on the All About Me Challenge blog. I rarely do layouts about myself, so this was a fun project. I even took out my scoreboard and attempted to make some flowers, yeah me! By midnight I had stickers and glue all over myself...I should have taken a pic of that for the next challenge, lol. Thanks to the ladies at AAMC who challenged me to find "my brand" and do a layout of myself. My journaling tag reads:

This is ME! I'm a Mom, a scrapbooker, baker, gardener, a reader, a sister and a friend. I'm creative and funny, silly and sometimes goofy. I'm passionate and gentle, patient and sensitive, a good listener and sometimes I even offer good advice. I love pigs and puppies, babies and children. I love to dance in a meadow and sing in the car. I love God and all his goodness and most of all I love just being ME!

YEAH! I just found out I won the challenge this morning! I'm so excited. I can't wait to see this kit in the mail. Thank you so much Scrapbooking from the inside out

Color Room Challenge #90

As I was going through my email I found this challenge on the The Color Room. Could they have picked a better color palette than black, white, silver and magenta? Oh yes...you know what I'm going to say. Those are the colors of Nicole's wedding, lol. Out came the paper...out came the flowers and mist and voila...another layout! So much fun..and best of all, another page done for the album.

Santa Smiles

The sketch site Once Upon A Sketch is amazing! They focus on the journaling, which I admit I don't do alot of. These challenges will encourage me to write these family memories down. This challenge was about what you do on Christmas morning so my hidden journaling tag reads:

On Christmas morn the kiddies awake, grabbing their Santa Hats and jumping on Mom and Dad's bed to open their socks. Then over to the tree we go to see what Santa has left for us. After the wrapping and bows are stuck to our shirts and hats we head downstairs for a warm breakfast. Then it's off to Baba's for dinner with the whole family. The rest of our day is spent playing games, eating sweet treats and laughing with family. This has been our tradition for the last 23 years since Nicole and Ryan were born. Our little family...our special Christmas.

Supplies: Basic Grey Jovial Line.

Remember This

Fall is one of my favourite seasons to scrap. This was the first Thanksgiving we spent without Chris and Nicole. We did have the weekend with them in Calgary, but it wasn't the same to go to Baba's without them. I guess I'm still getting use to what my friends call "the new normal". This layout was for a sketch at Colorful Creations, a site I just joined. The ladies there were so welcoming. So yesterday, out came the Bo Bunny and away I went. The word "remember" is on the edge of the circle ( that is part of the challenge). Those presents are still unwrapped...but today is a new day right? lol.
Yeah!!! I just found out I won the challenge! Thanks so much, I can't wait to see my prize.

Supplies: Bo Bunny Forever Fall Line, Stripes, Dots, Forever Fall. Bo Bunny Cardstock Stickers. Delta Pigment Ink, Studio G Ink, Distress Stickels, Multi Crafts Bridal Bling Butterflies, Tattered Angels Butternut Squash Glimmer Mist and Making Memories Rub On's ( package date was 2003..now how is that for a stashed item? lol)

You + Me = Happy

Well, I took a break from the wedding album and did a layout of Nicole & Chris in Disneyland. I was cruising the net and saw that Canadian Scrapbooker was doing a call for Disney layouts, so I put down my blacks, white's and purple's and had some fun with this one. I'm crossing my fingers and toes it makes the call! I'm on a roll today...first time in a long time I did two layouts in one day. Ok, my presents still aren't wrapped, the dishes aren't done...but look what I did get accomplished today!

Supplies: Fancy Pants Happy Together Paper line featuring Always, Glee, Forever. Fancy Pants Cardstock Stickers, Prima Resistant Canvas, Prima Flowers, Tim Holtz Distress Stain Frayed Burlap and Walnut. Misc buttons.

Butterfly Garden

This layout is for the sketch challenge at Scrapbook & Cards Today . I'm a huge fan of Becky Fleck's sketches and this one is no exception. I decided to rotate the sketch to put a new spin on things. Of course I had some paper in my Bo Bunny stash, so Olivia won out. Lots of fun and now I really should wrap those Christmas presents!

Supplies: BoBunny Olivia Honeydew, Dots, Stripes, Ambrosia, Cardstock Stickers, Tattered Angels Wheat Beer and Butternut Squash Glimmer Mist, Smooch Spray, Studio G ink, Misc. Flower Brads

Chilly

Today I got out my Bo Bunny stash, (yes I'm a confirmed Bo Bunny paper hoarder) and found the Midnight Frost Line that I had saved from last year. I always have to hang on to little bits of the bunny, lol. This is for the card challenge on the Bo Bunny site designed by the wonderfully talented Romy. I just showed it to my son and he is hinting that maybe just maybe he could give it to his friend for Christmas. Who knows...maybe after she sees the card she may become his girlfriend!!!  So Merry Christmas to all...and to all a Good Night!

Supplies: BoBunny Midnight Frost stripes, Midnight Frost Dots, BoBunny Bundled Up Cardstock Stickers, Pop Dots, Wire, Studio G Brown Ink, Misc. Buttons

The happiest day of my life

I'm just so excited when I see a challenge on Bo Bunny. This one was to use circles. I of course grabbed the Enchanted Line and found a background paper with circles, made flowers into circles, used circle stickers and just had an amazing afternoon playing with my favourite paper line. I know I have said it before but this is the PERFECT paper line for Nicole's wedding photos. I'm trying not to hoard it, I'm going to use every little scrap. Keep the challenges coming Bo Bunny...I have alot of paper, lol. I'm also entering this at the Paper Variety which has an anything goes challenge. Another of my favourite challenge sites!

Adore Framed Project

This is my version of a framed project that my sister and I did at Urban Scrapbook. The wonderfully talented Kelly designed and taught the class. We missed the actual night of the class, so the awesome ladies of Urban let us use their classroom to try and re-create Kelly's masterpiece. I learnt so much that day especially how to make those little spiral flowers. I used products I had never used before and learned techniques that were just too much fun. I changed up the paper a little because I wanted it to go above my piano and just loved the music note paper and a few odds and ends but I hope I did Kelly's project justice.  So, thank you so much Kelly and the girls at Urban for all your help.
