Misc Me - February - Bo Bunny

If your here for the ScrapThat Blog Hop.. please scroll down!

Morning Scrappy Friends! It's the end of the month and that means our designers at Bo Bunny are sharing what we are doing with our Misc. Me albums. I like the system I have going so I'm continuing on, lol. This is my summary of all the photos I took for February! This project is sure keeping me on track with taking my photo a day. Last month I used the C'est La Vie collection and this month I chose Mama Razzi 2. Each month I think I'm going to use a different collection. Keeps me on my toes!!!

Here I listed what all the photos I took are about.
Here is the calendar I printed out from my Iphone 365 project.
For my pages I just chose a few photos. Big Boy Jax on his 1st Birthday and Jax giving Daisy some kisses for Page 1! lol
Our trip to the Island was fabulous and I loved seeing green grass and the ocean. I cut the photo in half to fit into the two photo sleeves.
Now I can't say enough about that bath tub in our suite.. I was in love! That's hubby and I in our Mardi Gras masks and some fabulous dessert we had one evening down by the bay.
My favorite thing is when Nicole is here to visit and we both get up early and share a caramel mocha together and chat. The top left is an art canvas I made for a girlfriends birthday. The last photo is the contest going on at our local coffee stop.. Roll up the Rim.. so far 4 coffees, and only one win
( a donut).. which my waistline does not need!!!
I hope you can stop by Bo Bunny to see what the rest of the girls are doing and if your doing a Misc. Me album, make sure to share it with us on facebook!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments and I appreciate your scrappy support! Have a wonderfully happy scrappy day! Lynn

Journey Canvas - Quick Quotes

If your here for the ScrapThat Blog Hop... please scroll down.

Happy Friday everyone! It's Lynn today and I would love to share a canvas I made using the new PowderPuff Chalking Inks, and a quote from the new Quick Quotes Bundles. We are also partnering with Kiwi Lane Designs this month, so it was fun to play with the new templates.

For my background I first put gesso on my canvas, then used the  new PowderPuff Chalking Inks to add some color. This is a new technique that I tried taking inspiration from Kate's Video. After I chalked the background, I used some modeling paste and a stencil to add some texture. Now back to playing with the chalk to color all the paste! I then played with the Kiwi Lane Designs templates and the Stowaway Collection to make the flowers. I layered the flowers and glued them onto the canvas using some matte medium. I took some ink and added a little color onto the quote. This quote will always remind me of our holidays and the journeys we have.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all are having a fabulous day!

Lynn

Ten Things About Me

Morning Everyone!! And before I begin, I want to wish my sweet friend Laurie a Very Happy Birthday!! And guess what? It's my birthday too! So to celebrate I did a layout all about me, lol.. I loved this photo hubs took of me cuddling with the pups on the couch. This is our after dinner routine, a couch cuddle! Nothing compares to a cuddle with two big doodles, lol. I made this layout using a card, which can flip open and reveal my ten most intimate life details, lol.. ok, I'm not really all that exciting, but hey I try, lol. I know your so curious right? What are those ten things.. well I'm going to share them with you, lol. ( even if you didn't want to know).

1. I've been playing the piano since I've been 5 years old. 2. I love earthy colors, but have a love for pink too. 3. I have Essential tremor which means I shake, alot somedays. 4. I've dyed my hair since my 20's.. I'm totally grey. 5. I love pizza and pasta but hate feta cheese. 6. I always wanted 6 kids ( I guess 2 of mine, 1 son-in-law, 1 almost daughter in law, and 2 doodles does equal 6). 7. I love pigs, socks, pillows and even my phone case is a pig. 8. I love to read mysteries. 9. I'm always in bare feet, I hate socks. 10. I've had 10 different jobs since highschool! ( my favorites are my job working with seniors with Alzheimers and being a scrapbook designer).

So there you have all the "scoop"... Have a wonderful day my friends!

Together

Hi Everyone! Well this weekend I had a little time to just play in my studio. I found this sketch at ScrapFriends and I really love a sketch that challenges me. I love getting out the inks and stamps...and yes a few pieces of Washi Tape. It was fun to grunge things up abit. These photos were from our recent trip to Victoria. We were walking along the bay and I said to hubby.. "do like the kids do and take our picture" lol.. I thought it was pretty cute. I really had fun with this one and challenged myself to stick as close to the sketch as I could. I'm playing around with different styles and techniques lately, it's another journey of self discovery.....

My New Project Life Idea!

Let me begin with the story behind my new project idea, lol...  I was searching around the Silhouette Cameo store and saw these templates... hmmm. now that looks like fun I say to myself ( yeah I talk to myself on occasion). So then I started thinking of my Bo Bunny collections that I have in my stash and the idea started coming together. Why not do a 12x12 layout type project each month. Wait.. why not do a double page layout?  A great way to play with all those bigger embellishments and all those Cameo files I keep saving! I love my Misc. Me album, because it's cute and fun to leave out on my desk, but this is turning into a fun project too!  So this is January using the Snow Day collection.

Who Are These Kids? - Bo Bunny

Who Are These Kids.. and Why are they calling me Mom? I just love that quote from the new "Family Is" Collection from Bo Bunny. Today our design assignment was to do a quirky family layout.. now who doesn't have some of those moments to share? This collection has the most hilarious quotes and sayings. It just makes me smile to look at this collection. I chose to do a layout of my "kids". This is Chris and Ashley.. in case your wondering.. Chris is Nicole's Husband... Ashley is Ryan's girlfriend. BUT.. they are also cousins. They are always goofing around like siblings and I keep forgetting they grew up together when they are around. We keep teasing Ryan and Ashley that when they get married, it will be another family wedding with the same guests, lol. It's so great that they all get along so well.. they are truly part of our family and I LOVE when they call me Mom!

Milestones - Quick Quotes

Good Morning!! It's my turn today to host on the Quick Quotes Blog .This is a layout I did of Nicole & Chris's engagement photos. The Sentiment Quote Bundle was perfect for these photos. There were so many to choose from, so I just had to use two! I wanted a romantic feel for this project, so I chose to use the new Cracklin Rose collection. I love to ink everything on my layout, so I used the new Java and Dusty Rose  PowderPuff Chalking Inks.  This month we are partnering with Kiwi Lane Designs. The Kiwi Lane Designs templates that I was working with were the Tiny Wildflower Templates. They were just the right element to tuck behind the photos. I love flowers so I was excited to use these on my project. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you all have a beautiful day!

You And Me

Morning!! How's everyone's day? I wanted to take a break and do a "just for fun" page. When I came upon a sketch at Page Drafts I thought it would be fun to play along. My dear friend Laurie "encouraged" me to go to Michael's for the washi tape sale...and let's just say I now have a "stash" of it, lol.  I have a few rolls, but have never used them on a layout so that was one of my goals for today. The second was to play with my Cameo. Well, you know how that goes.. I searched for "circles"..and ended up buying 14 new cuts! I'm still a newbie at this whole Cameo thing, but it sure is fun! It's blowing and snowing here, so a great day to hibernate and play! Hope your all having a wonderful day!

Today Only Happens Once - Quick Quotes

Morning Everyone! Today I would love to share  a layout I did using the New Stowaway collection. I love the distressed colors in this collection. I thought it would be just the right choice for a photo my husband took of me while we were on our mini vacation a few weeks ago. Along with the PowderPuff Chalk Inks, this was a fun layout to do.
For some added texture, I took my Prima stencil and some modeling paste and did a design around the edges. To add the color back into the background, I used the Tahiti PowderPuff Chalking Ink which matched the patterned paper. I also added some texture to the Travel Quote to give it a distressed look.
Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut out the starfish border and then used Biscotti PowderPuff Chalking Ink and Tahiti PowderPuff Chalking Ink to add some dimension. Since I couldn't get enough of playing with the ink, I tried it on my cheesecloth that I tucked behind the Quote and my photo, and it worked perfectly! I'm truly in love with these inks!! I can't wait to showcase the new colors that are coming out.

Just an Everyday Kind of Day

Morning Everyone and Happy March! I'm excited we are one step closer to Spring! I would love to share this layout I did for my design board at Urban Scrapbook. This was our March challenge. The team all creates layouts and we showcase them all together. I love seeing what the other girls create. This is of Ashley and Ryan and as the title says.. it's just an everyday kind of day. Now can you all tell I was playing with my Cameo? I cut out the hexagon background then used the little hexagons from it around my layout. Then I cut out the title and the photo frame with it too. I'm having so much fun with this! I think I'm a "little" addicted! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Morning Everyone!!! Today at Bo Bunny we have a new card sketch challenge. Carin did this amazing sketch and I knew it would be perfect for a birthday card for my sister.
